My Story
I’ve always been fascinated by languages and curious about the people and cultures they help us discover. Having studied languages myself, I know both the excitement and the challenges of learning a new language from finding the right words to having the confidence to speak without being afraid of making mistakes.
These experiences shape the way I teach Italian today: with empathy, enthusiasm and a focus on helping my students feel confident and comfortable using the language.
Who Am I?
Originally from Sicily, I have studied and worked in several different cities both in Italy and abroad, specifically in Spain and Australia, experiencing different cultures and ways of life.
With over six years of experience, I now teach adult learners at all levels, whether you're learning Italian for a trip, connecting with your heritage, or planning a move.
How I teach
My lessons are tailored to your level, interests and goals, with a communicative approach based on real-life situations. You’ll start using Italian from your very first session through guided conversations, role plays and practical activities.
For grammar, I use an inductive approach, helping you discover the rules naturally through examples.
For conversation-focused lessons, I provide an article or video in advance, together with useful vocabulary to help you prepare. After each session, you’ll receive personalised notes with corrections and new expressions for you to review and practise between sessions.
